It’s hard to believe it’s already been a whole year since we opened our doors at The Light in Leeds. Time really does fly when you’re having fun!
From day one, our goal has been simple: bring families, friends and fun-seekers together through unforgettable, shared experiences. And what a year it’s been. As we celebrate our first birthday, we’re looking back on 12 incredible months filled with exciting moments, new experiences and LOTS of fun.
And now, it’s time to celebrate… We welcome you to join us Friday 10th – Sunday 12th April for a full-on birthday weekend packed with fun, surprises and giveaways!
Looking Back at Our Grand Opening
What a way to start the journey! On 10th April 2025, Funstation Leeds officially opened its doors at The Light — and we kicked things off in style with an exclusive preview event before opening to the public.
We were proud to welcome some incredible guests, including families supported by Rays of Sunshine, young players from Pontefract Collieries FC, and The Hunslet Club — a brilliant local organisation empowering young people through sport, arts and personal development. The day was made even more special as the Mayor of Leeds officially opened the venue with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
We also marked the occasion with a £5,000 donation to Rays of Sunshine, supporting the incredible work they do creating magical moments for children living with serious illnesses.
From the buzz of the first games being played to the excitement of welcoming our very first visitors, it set the tone for everything Funstation Leeds has become today.
