Funstation Leeds: A Grand Opening Celebration!

We’ve officially arrived in Leeds, and what a warm welcome we've received!

On the 10th of April, Funstation celebrated the grand opening of our brand-new venue in The Light. We couldn’t be prouder to bring our unique mix of immersive, interactive, and family-friendly fun to the heart of this vibrant city.

A Night to Remember

To mark this special occasion, we welcomed some exceptional guests for an exclusive sneak peek before our doors opened to the public. Among them were incredible families supported by Rays of Sunshine, young players from Pontefract Collieries FC (proudly sponsored by us), and The Hunslet Club—an amazing local organisation empowering young people through sports, arts, and personal development.

And yes, we also invited some of you! That’s right; some of our amazing Sign Up & Save members enjoyed the VIP treatment and were chosen to join us for an exclusive sneak peek before we opened to the public. We loved meeting all of you!

We were also honoured to welcome the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Abigail Marshall Katung. She joined in on the fun (showing off some fantastic basketball and air hockey skills!) before cutting the ribbon and officially declaring Funstation Leeds open.

That’s why the heart of our opening night was all about celebrating the charities and community organisations we proudly support.

Magic Moments with Rays of Sunshine

A true highlight of the evening was celebrating our long-standing partnership with Rays of Sunshine, a charity that grants magical wishes to seriously ill children across the UK.

We’ve proudly supported Rays of Sunshine for over a decade. To mark the Leeds opening, we donated £5,000 to help grant even more unforgettable wishes. From meeting celebrities to dream days out, Rays of Sunshine creates joyful moments that children will never forget. Funstation is honoured to play a part in supporting this wonderful cause.

Local Wish Children, Ella, Harry, and Eliza, along with their families, joined us for the night, reminding us of the joy and magic that comes from giving back.
